You really never know who is going to show up in a Royal Rumble match. There have been multiple occasions when superstars outside the pro-wrestling business dared to enter the ring just to have some fun. After all, this is a business-oriented with sports entertainment. O who does not want more of it? And when it comes to India what better than entertainment than Cricket.
John Cena out of Royal Rumble 2019
With the 32nd Royal Rumble on the verge, WWE has now given the biggest reason for the Indian fans to tune in for. In an interesting update on their Twitter handle, WWE mentioned our very own MS Dhoni as a surprise entrant of the men’s division Royal Rumble match. They asked the fans whether they would like to see one of the all-time great captains of Indian Cricket team inside a squared circle.
There’s a reason why WWE has taken special interest to mention the name of MS Dhoni on Royal Rumble context. A few days ago, The International Cricket Council (ICC) had used Paul Heyman’s paraphrase to describe Dhoni’s incredible performance. He led India to an ODI series victory during the tour of Australia. ICC quoted ‘Eat. Sleep. Finish games. Repeat.’ Whereas the original phrase for Universal Champion Brock Lesnar is ‘Eat. Sleep. Conquer. Repeat.’

Paul Heyman sarcastically demanded the royalty paychecks as well in a tweet posted, later. This was actually the genius mind of the advocate general for the Universal Champion who does want to promote his client’s match as well as the Royal Rumble match. WWE has now utilized the same tactics by tagging MS Dhoni in this context. This can create the biggest hypes around in India around the upcoming battle royal on this Sunday.
My most (in)sincere compliments to @cricketworldcup for promoting the amazing @msdhoni by paraphrasing my mantra for @WWE #UniversalChampion @BrockLesnar #EatSleepConquerRepeat. Our royalties may be paid in cash, check, stock or cryptocurrency. https://t.co/sGtIALzso1

30 superstars compete in the special match for only one night of the year. Superstars take random entries every three minutes and get eliminated after going over the top rope and hit the floor. The last man standing inside the ring win the Royal Rumble match and receives a main event title match at Wrestlemania 35.
So by putting up this tweet, WWE has just hinted a Wrestlemania main event appearance for MS Dhoni. When it comes to the biggest event of the year, WWE pulls down all the stops to make it a success. Be it Royal Rumble or ‘Mania, an appearance by Dhoni will garner huge mainstream attention for the company. But it all depends on the former Indian skipper himself whether he is ready to be a part of these cross-brand promotions.
