The Twitter handler of Mumbai Indians took an indirect dig at Dinesh Karthik for not giving the strike to their player, Krunal Pandya. The handler took to their account and said Krunal Pandya got to face only one ball in the final over despite having a strike rate of 200. Pandya scored 26 runs from 13 balls and he was timing the ball to perfection.

However, Dinesh Karthik refused to give the strike back to Pandya. The right-hander smashed the ball towards the long-on region but he denied the single to Pandya. 14 runs were needed off the final four balls but India could not get over the line.

DK is getting trolled.

Karthik took the single on the third ball of the over, leaving Pandya to get 13 off the final two balls. The southpaw batsman could not clear the ropes on the solitary ball he faced in the final over. DK smashed a last-ball six but India fell short by four runs.

Consequently, Dinesh Karthik was trolled for not taking the single. In fact, Dinesh Karthik took an instinctive decision and it was in the heat of the moment that he denied the single. DK had finished the final of the Nidahas Trophy with a last-ball six and he had the confidence to get India over the line.

Meanwhile, India won the ODI series against New Zealand by 4-1. However, they lost the T20I series by 2-1. In fact, the visitors were able to test their bench strength in the series against the Kiwis.

The young generation was able to impress and they would be in contention for the World Cup.

Mumbai Indians took to their account to troll Dinesh Karthik. The post read as, “@krunalpandya24 26 not-out from 13 balls and got to face only 1 ball in the final over. ??‍♂?

Hard luck, KP! ?”
