While the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup is less than 100 days away to begin, the former English captain Michael Vaughan reveals his favourite side for the tournament.
England and Wales will host the 12th edition of Cricket World Cup from 30 May to 14 July. A total of ten teams will participate in this competition. These teams are England, India, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Windies. While England will play as the host side, the five-time World Cup-winning side Australia will start as the defending champions.
At present, every team is busy to prepare for the upcoming World Cup. Though many cricket fans are very unhappy with the decreasing number of World Cup teams, mostly believe that the forthcoming tournament will be very competitive.
On Wednesday (20 February), Michael Vaughan posted his favourite side name for the upcoming World Cup. There is no surprise that he chooses the host side England as the favourite for the tournament.
Moreover, one day earlier, Michael Vaughan predicted his two finalist teams for the forthcoming World Cup. On his official Twitter account, he claimed that England would beat India in the 2019 World Cup final.

Both sides are currently in the top forms in international cricket. In the latest ODI ranking, England is on top and India is standing in the next position. Many experts have picked up both the teams as their favourite for the upcoming World Cup.

Though England is one of the oldest international cricket teams, they haven’t won a cricket World Cup yet. However, they reached the World Cup finals three times (1979, 1987 and 1992), but every time they suffered disheartened defeats.
Despite observing their records, many experts believe that the present English side is probably the best English side, especially in the cricket World Cup.
