In contemporary times, social media has been the bane and the boon in parallel. Also, it has witnessed celebrities facing a lot of criticism for their dull show and subsequently being accoladed if they went on to strike the chords far and wide by rescuing themselves and the team in particular. Similarly, it has pushed former Team India skipper Sourav Ganguly to clear the air following his recent statement. He has eventually quashed the media reports on connecting his comments with Sachin Tendulkar’s remarks.
Recently, Tendulkar revealed he would not like to see India losing out on two points by boycotting Pakistan in the 2019 World Cup following the Pulwama suicide car bomb attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama.

The veteran cricketer Ganguly maintained there’s nothing to do with his statement while considering recent remarks from Tendulkar. He added that he didn’t say anything regarding Mumbaikar’s statement.
Perturbed Ganguly hinted that the media persons have tried to plot his statement against Tendulkar.
“A lot of people in the media is trying to put my statement against Sachin when I said, “I want the World Cup”. My response has got nothing to do with his statement, nor is my statement against hi(m),” Ganguly wrote on his official Twitter handle.
Well, Ganguly would like to see India settling with the World Cup in England and Wales. The competition will kick off in London on May 30.
India-Pakistan is scheduled to face-off on June 16 in Manchester in the ICC’s coveted event.
Although the ex-cricketer from India had backed the national team, they are eventually on a different page considering scheduled India-Pakistan clash.
Tendulkar is my best friend: Ganguly

The recent stir has further forced Ganguly to reveal his relationship with legendary Tendulkar. He reiterated Tendulkar is his lifelong friend.
“He is, has been and will be one of my best friends for last 25 years,” Ganguly added in his tweet.
During the heydays, Tendulkar and Ganguly took India out of the precarious situations on numerous occasions. So much so, Tendulkar has played under the leadership of Ganguly. The two professionals share a bond that grew stronger.
The 45-year-old Sachin has represented India in 463 ODIs, 200 Tests and a solitary T20I. However, Ganguly has featured in 311 ODIs, 113 Tests for India, between 1996 and 2008.
