Watch: Virat Kohli's Advise Helps Kedar Jadhav Hit Adam Zampa For A Cracking Four 1

There are very few batsmen in the world who assess the game as better as Virat Kohli and perhaps that is the reason why he is the best-ranked ODI and Test batsman in the world at the moment. Well, Kohli gave another example of his game awareness against Australia in the third ODI. The India skipper correctly predicted how Adam Zampa would bowl which eventually helped Kedar Jadhav score a boundary.

The incident occurred on the fifth ball of the 25th over. Prior to that, Zampa had already caused a lot of trouble for Jadhav, compelling the latter to sweep his way out of the situation. Seeing his teammate struggle, Kohli advised Jadhav before the start of the 25th over. The India skipper was heard telling Jadhav that Zampa would bowl a lot of short deliveries. Well,  Virat Kohli was spot on as Zampa soon bowled a similar delivery.

Jadhav, on the other hand, was all geared up for the delivery and as soon as he saw the ball dropping short, he rocked back and hit a cracking boundary towards mid-wicket.

Here is a clip of that incident:

Jadhav, however, could not last long and eventually fell to Zampa after scoring 26.  Kohli, on the other hand, went on to play another gem of an innings en route a stunning 123-run knock.

Chasing an improbable 314, India were in deep trouble very early on. Their openers – Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma – failed again along with Ambati Rayudu, leaving India reeling at 27 for 3. Virat Kohli then took the onus on himself to resurrect the innings and bring the chase on track.

He, however, found little support from the other end. The likes of MS Dhoni,  Jadhav and Vijay Shankar got the starts but none of them managed to convert them. Kohli, however, stood firm and kept India in contention with a sublime ton. He waged a lone battle throughout his innings and was batting on 123 when Adam Zampa managed to sneak one through to get rid of the India skipper. Virat Kohli’s dismissal saw India getting reduced to 219 for 6. India went on to lose the game by 32 runs after being all out for 281.
