Mumbai Indians Director of Cricket Operations Zaheer Khan has revealed that their talisman all-rounder Hardik Pandya is getting back on track from injury. Pandya was ruled out of the five-match ODI series against Australia due to the back injury. In fact, this was not the first time that Pandya had issues with his lower back. He was ruled out of the Asia Cup with an acute low back injury in the match against arch nemesis Pakistan.
Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya has been an integral part of the Mumbai Indians camp. The Baroda all-rounder was the pick of the bowlers in the previous season as he had taken 18 wickets. Thus, he was the leading wicket-taker for the Mumbai Indians.

Pandya will like to make a roaring comeback.
On the other hand, Hardik Pandya was criticized for his crasser comments on Koffee with Karan. However, Zaheer Khan believes the distraction might have been the blessing in disguise for Pandya. Consequently, Zaheer Khan feels it would be a perfect chance for Pandya to prove his mettle with his performance.
“Sometimes the distraction actually helps you get back on track. So, Hardik is pretty much on track. For any cricketer, the best way to go about his business is by going out there on that field and let his numbers talk. Hardik is in that frame of mind. He wants opportunities, he wants to go out there, express himself and let everyone know that his priority is cricket,” Khan told DNA.
Meanwhile, Zaheer Khan said that Hardik Pandya is serious and passionate about his game. The former Indian pacer believes Pandya has been guile in managing his workload. In fact, Khan said Pandya had suffered a severe injury and it is not easy to recuperate from it.

Pandya is passionate.
“He is very serious and passionate about the game. In terms of monitoring his workload, he has been very good with that. For a fast bowler, for the kind of injury he had in the Asia Cup, it is not easy. He has to be monitored. There is no doubt about it. He is in consultation with the team of support staff that he has been working with. So, everything is under control so far. He has done a couple of bowling sessions. And he has got to progress in that fashion.”
