The debate concerning the workload of the Indian National Cricket team players ahead of the ICC World Cup is in its peak. While some feel there is a need to manage it other believes players should concentrate more on the recovery process and play as much as they can. Recently, skipper Virat Kohli also said that players will have to be smart to manage their workload. Kedar Jadhav, who will be a crucial component in India’s squad for the World Cup said that for him workload is all about managing his bowling.

Meanwhile, Jadhav is keen to play a full season for the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL. He suffered a hamstring injury in the first game during his match-winning knock and missed the entire injury. While the debate is gaining momentum each passing day, Jadhav feels that he doesn’t need to think about it because he won’t bowl too much for the Super Kings. The 34-year-old all-rounder also stressed on the recovery procedure to be essential during the next two months.

My workload, I think, is about managing my bowling. In Chennai Super Kings, I don’t think I need to bowl as much as I do in the Indian team,” said Jadhav.

Dream to play World Cup

Besides, Kedar Jadhav also stated that it is a dream for every player to play the World Cup which starts from May 30. Jadhav will play a significant batting at the lower middle-order and chipping in with few handy overs. However, he admits that currently his focus solely lies on the IPL and performing well for the Chennai Super Kings.

Jadhav, who is otherwise very injury prone, is keen to stay fit and perform for his franchise within his capacity. He also added that he loves the culture and despite not playing all the games, he followed every CSK games last season.

Basically every cricketer who plays for India it’s a dream for him to feature in a World Cup team, and I’m no different to that,” Jadhav said. “As of now, my focus in the next two months will be on CSK. I hope to win it this year and I’m looking forward to all those two months with a fit body and contribute to the best of my abilities,” he concluded.
Chennai Super Kings will begin their campaign against Royal Challengers Bangalore on March 23 at the Chepauk Stadium.
