Yet another loss in the kitty for Rajasthan Royals. They were completely outplayed by Kolkata Knight Riders in the 21st of the match, which saw them losing their Net-Run-Rate as well. Meanwhile, the skipper Ajinkya Rahane blames the failure of the batting department for the loss.
Despite the failure of other batsmen, Steven Smith remained unbeaten with 73 runs to his name. However, the slow knock by Ben Stokes, who scored 7 runs off 14 balls saw Rajasthan being restricted to 139 runs. Jos Buttler got the start but failed to continue.
It was the brilliant opening partnership of Chris Lynn and Sunil Narine, which turned things in favour of Kolkata Knight Riders. They always looked comfortable in the middle and never ever looked in danger while chasing the tally.
We need to learn from our mistakes – Ajinkya Rahane
Speaking of the loss, the flamboyant cricketer Ajinkya Rahane quoted that the bowling department was pretty poor while batsmen too failed to get the runs for the team. Rahane also spoked on the slow nature of the wicket.

”I think on this wicket 150-160 would have been good. If we had runs on the board and a slower wicket, I don’t think we bowled to our plans. Lots of learning from this game though. Such things happen in cricket, we need to learn from our mistakes,” he quoted.
We need to focus on playing good cricket:
Further, he went on to add saying that the team should focus on playing good cricket from now on to make things fall in place. Speaking of the young Midhun, Rahane quoted that the slow nature of wicket made them hand a debut to the youngster.

”I think we should focus on playing good cricket and improve in the upcoming games. The wicket was going to be slow and we knew that, so we thought it was the right time to give him (Midhun) a game today,” he continued.
Well, as Rahane said, it was a tough loss for the team. Now, they will also host Chennai Super Kings on April 11th at the same venue. Currently, they are placed seventh in the points table.
