The much-awaited India’s 15-man World Cup squad will be announced later today (15 April) by Board of Control for Cricket in India. The live press conference of the selectors will be broadcasted by Star Sports at 3:30 and all the suspense regarding the big news will be broken. The press conference will be shown on Star Sport 1. In fact, Star Sports will also bring the live telecast of the 12th edition of the ICC World Cup, set to take place in England and Wales from 30 May.

Will the likes of Vijay Shankar, Rishabh Pant, Dinesh Karthik, Ambati Rayudu, KL Rahul, Khaleel Ahmed, Deepak Chahar, Umesh Yadav, Kedar Jadhav, Ravindra Jadhav get their place? Well, the answer is a few hours away as the cat will be soon out of the bag.

Meanwhile, the core of the team is expected to remain the same. Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal are going to be on the flight to England and Wales on May 22, when the team will leave.
On the other hand, India has played consistent cricket in the last four years. Consequently, they are one of the front contenders of the quadrennial event. India will begin their World Cup campaign against South Africa on June 5 at Southampton. The ODI showpiece will kickstart with the hosts England taking on South Africa on 30th May at Kennington Oval.
