It was Kolkata Knight Riders skipper Dinesh Karthik who won the toss and opted to field. Openers Virat Kohli and Parthiv Patel walked out in the middle to begin proceedings. Parthiv who has looked in great touch in the tournament s far fell early after playing a few good shots. Akshdeep Nath got a promotion as he was asked to bat at No 3.
He scored 13 of 15 deliveries before Andre Russell dismissed him with a brilliant delivery. Virat Kohli was playing the anchor’s role to perfection and ever since Moeen Ali came into the crease the whole complexion of the match changed. The southpaw looked in ominous touch and started to smash the KKR bowlers from the outset.
The southpaw was supported brilliantly by Virat Kohli who wasn’t really playing the big shots. Moeen Ali was the attacker between the two as he smashed 5 fours and 6 sixes during his breezy knock of 66 of just a mere 28 deliveries. It was a special effort from Moeen Ali to treat the way he did to Kuldeep Yadav. The world-class chinaman bowler was smashed for 27 runs in an over to put KKR on the backfoot.
After conceding 27 runs, Kuldeep Yadav finally bagged his wicket. After his dismissal, Virat Kohli took the onus on himself to do the job for Bangalore. He started taking on the attack to the KKR bowlers and raced towards a well deserved century. He looked in sublime touch and smashed Harry Gurney all around the park to near a well-deserved century.
It was a rampage on show in the last few overs as he completed his century of the final over. Marcus Stoinis also struck a few lusty blows and was about to miss his century had Stoinis hogged the strike. However, he refused a double in the 3rd delivery and eventually made a century. He was dismissed in the final delivery of Harry Gurney.
We have seen many hundreds this season but this is the most pleasing for every INDIAN ❤️ Champ back its best ? #ViratKohli #KKRvRCB

Whichever side you are on, if you are an Indian cricket fan, then this century must have brought smile to your face. Didn't it? #ipl2019 #KKRvRCB @imVkohli

Happy for #ViratKohli but it looked like that #kuldeepyadav intentionally let it be a four on 5th ball of the last over

Kuldeep’s form a serious concern this #IPL. Only four wickets thus far. First in the last four games. And it’s not that he’s been economical…. #KKRvRCB #IPL

So it was deal by @DineshKarthik & @imkuldeep18 with @imVkohli to be in the world cup squad.
Or both of them fixed the match together, worst bowling, worst fielding, worst captaincy.#KKRvRCB @iamsrk @KKRiders— Shakil Aslam (@IndianCitizen55) April 19, 2019
Kuldeep is not at all performing well! Need to get some changes! Should look for another bowling option. @cricketaakash @KKRiders @imkuldeep18 #Ipl2019 #KKRvRCB

There are players like @Gmaxi_32 who gave up IPL money 2 prepare himself for WC & Ashes & there's De Villers who retired just a year before WC even though RSA were struggling so that he can play all the T-20 league. P.S. It's just my view #IPL2019 #KKRvRCB

Kuldeep is so upset that he conceded over 50 runs. He should take some cue from RCB. At least 2 bowlers from RCB give away fifty runs every game. #KKRvRCB #ipl2019

#RCB logic: if they Bat 2nd they will choke at winning match. If they Bowl second they will choke at death overs n lose match.
they cant bat and bowl 1st in the same match n thats the problem??? #KKRvRCB— Ssh'ashi! (@Cadburyshash) April 19, 2019

Kohli struggles against leg spinners and Chawla still bowled just the one over. DK's captaincy is so bad. #KKRvRCB #IPL2019
