Pakistan premium leg-spinner Shadab Khan is racing against the time in a bid to feature in the forthcoming ICC World Cup 2019. The exciting cricketer Shadab had undergone a couple of tests in London before doctors prescribed medication owing to a 14-day course.
The London-based doctors advised the 20-year-old Mianwali-born Shadab to take a complete rest.
Earlier, the Board has availed the services of hepatologist and gastroenterology specialist.
Meanwhile, the promising bowler will return to Pakistan before undergoing tests in May. Recently, a virus was detected after giving blood samples.
He has to determine his fitness before flying to the United Kingdom (UK).

Earlier, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has named Shadab in the 2019 World Cup squad apart from the upcoming limited-overs series against England.
Shadab made the cut in both squads before being left out for the England series. The senior leg-spinner Yasir Shah has replaced Shadab for the limited-overs.
However, ace pacer Mohammad Amir is a back-up player alongside Asif Ali for the mega ICC event.

The frontline spinner will miss the forthcoming series which is comprised of five ODIs and One-off Twenty20 International. The competition will get underway from May 5 until May 19.
Over the past couple of years, Shadab had played a pivotal role for the Men in Green. His exclusion would further create problems for Pakistan given to his potential as a three-dimensional player.
Besides, the PCB is hopeful that their lead spinner will recover well in time.
It becomes pertinent that PCB can pick players until May 23 which is a deadline set by the world cricket governing body ICC.
However, beyond that particular date, the technical committee of the ICC will take decisions regarding any sort of replacements within distinct teams for the quadrennial event.
The ODI showpiece will run between May 30 and July 14 in England and Wales. The much-awaited cricketing carnival will kick-off with England and South Africa game at the Kennington Oval in London.
Meanwhile, the Men in Green will face the Windies in Cardiff on May 31st.
