Cricket Ireland has recently announced their 14-member squad for the upcoming home ODI matches.

On 3rd May, Ireland will play one home ODI against England at The Village (Malahide, Dublin). This upcoming ODI will be Ireland’s 10th ODI against England. Out of their nine meetings, Ireland has won only one match (in 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup) and lost seven matches (other one had no result).

Later, in this season, Ireland will also play one Test match against the host side England. It will be a four-day Test match from 24th to 27th July and Lord’s (London) will host this match. England will play this Test match before their home Ashes series.

Meanwhile, after their home ODI match against England, Ireland will be busy in the home ODI tri-series against Bangladesh and Windies that will run from 5th May to 17th May. In that ODI tri-series, each team will face all other teams for twice. Later, the top two teams will meet in the final of the ODI tri-series on 17th May at Malahide, Dublin.

Cricket Ireland announced the ODI squad for the first three matches

On Monday (29th April), Cricket Ireland has announced the 14-member Ireland ODI squad for the upcoming England ODI and the first two ODIs of the upcoming ODI tri-series.

The 33-year-old Irish wicketkeeper-batsman Gary Wilson has returned to the national squad for the upcoming ODIs. In early this year, he missed out their last ODI series against Afghanistan in India due to an eye problem.

Moreover, the selectors have also named two uncapped ODI players in the latest squad. These two uncapped Irish players are the wicketkeeper-batsman Lorcan Tucker and the left-arm pacer Josh Little. However, both the players have already experienced T20I cricket for Ireland.
