Indian pacer Varun Aaron is confident about India’s victory against Pakistan in the upcoming Cricket World Cup. He also feels that the present India-Australia matches offer more intense than the present India-Pakistan matches.

England and Wales are ready to host the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup from 30th May to 14th July. A total of ten teams will participate in this competition, including the Asian arch-rivals India and Pakistan. India will face Pakistan in the upcoming Cricket World Cup on 16th June at Manchester.

Till the date, Pakistan has never beaten India in the Cricket World Cup. While they have met six times in the ODI World Cup history, India won all those matches.

Varun Aaron strongly believes that India will continue their World Cup dominance against Pakistan in the upcoming Cricket World Cup. He also said that the India- Australia match would be more challenging in the upcoming World Cup.

Aaron recently told AFP, “We have a much better team than Pakistan, there is no reason why we shouldn’t win the match against Pakistan. I feel India has developed a fierce rivalry with Australia off late and the intensity of India-Australia matches are almost outdoing the intensity of India-Pakistan matches. The rivalry between India and Pakistan will always be there, but the match to look out for will be the India-Australia one.”

In the upcoming Cricket World Cup, India will face the defending champions Australia on 9th June at The Oval (London).

Aaron said, “I feel we have one of the best chances of winning the World Cup with the side we have. We’ve got an unbelievable batting lineup and our bowlers have been great of late. All the players have experience in the overseas conditions so I don’t think anyone should have questions. Our bowling line-up is a varied line-up. You got Bhuvi who can swing the bowl, Bumrah can bowl really at the front and in the death, Shami bowls with great speed and I really hope they win the Cup back.”

Varun Aaron also praised the former World Cup-winning Indian captain MS Dhoni. The pacer believes that Dhoni will play a crucial role for India in the upcoming Cricket World Cup.

Aaron added, “Dhoni is the most accomplished captain that India has ever had. I am glad that Virat has Dhoni in his ranks who can give him advice. Dhoni marshalling the troops from behind will play a crucial role in the upcoming World Cup.”

Dhoni and Aaron both represent Jharkhand in domestic cricket.

Varun Aaron also spoke about the English tracks

Aaron feels that the upcoming Cricket World Cup will be played on the flat tracks. He further added that only the cloudy conditions could help the bowlers in the upcoming tournament.

He said, “The English tracks are quite flat, it’s just the atmosphere that helps the bowlers. You are going to see big scoring games because of the small size of the grounds. If there’s cloud cover you may see swinging conditions for the bowlers.”

Aaron has experienced English County Cricket for several times. He served for Durham in 2014 and Leicestershire in 2018.

Apart from India, Aaron has chosen England and Australia as the other favourite sides to win the upcoming Cricket World Cup. He also added that Windies would be the dark horse in the upcoming tournament.

Aaron said, “England is a really good contender because they have a really good side. You can never count out Australia because they have won so many World Cups. For me, the dark horse will be West Indies as they have Gayle back in the mix, you’ve got Russell and any Windies bowler can be destructive on his day.”
