South African star batsman Hashim Amla has denied that he refused an interview to a female TV host who was ‘short-dressed’.
Amla was invited for an interview to a TV channel during the India tour at late 2015.
According to the reported news, Amla had alleged that the woman was not appropriate dressed. If she had to interview him, she should be dressed properly. The TV host was wearing low neck top which Amla was not comfortable with. Amla was apologetic but he was rock-solid on his conditions with the organisers. The woman then quickly changed her dress which Amla agreed to give an interview.
However, Amla refuted about this incident through Twitter on last Friday, 5th February. He posted two tweets in quick succession.
Here is what Amla clarified:
hey cumon peeps, 95%of stuff on d Internet r fake..but u knew dat right? Certainly I have never asked any reporter to dress for my liking.

As a South African I have the greatest respect for people of all faiths and cultures. I will never impose my beliefs on anybody else. #peace
