We are just a fortnight away from the start of the 2019 World Cup which is slated to be played in England and Wales. India will be one of the prime contenders to lift the coveted title as they have played some exceptional cricket in the recent past. However, apart from a surprise series loss to Australia very recently, the Men in Blue have been a dominant force in ODI cricket and have won most of the matches and the series in the last couple of matches.
The steady rise of Indian cricket especially in the limited overs format has been largely possible due to the exceptional success of the wrist spin duo of Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav. Both the leg spinners have done a terrific job for India in the last year and a half and were instrumental in helping India win away series in South Africa and Australia.
Both the leggies are exceptional and have been match winners for India in the last two years. Meanwhile, Yuzvendra Chahal stated that it is the trust of the pair which has played a big role in their success in their brief international career so far. He stated that they complement each other very well.
“We both know each other for a long time now. We bowl in partnership. If he is going first then he tells me which areas I should be looking to hit and I do the same. Mahi bhai (MS Dhoni) also keeps giving his opinion. We never thought about things that we may not be able to do and just took the chance when we got it,” Yuzvendra Chahal said during the launch of his website yuzvendrachahal.club.
Meanwhile, Chahal further added that the experience of other players in the team has been very helpful for them. It has been the wrist spinning duo who has reduced the appearances of the first choice spinners in Test cricket Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja.

“It is unfair to compare us with them. I have not played with Ashwin too many times, but Jaddu pa has never shied from helping me out whenever I have asked him for tips,” said Chahal.
“Mahi bhai helps us in figuring out how the wicket is going to play. Along with him there is Virat bhai and Rohit bhai (Rohit Sharma). In our team we have a number of captains and they all respect each other and that has played a big role in the success that Kuldeep and I have enjoyed,” he said.
