An Incredible News: 8-year old Luke Marsh takes 6 wickets in an over 1

Recently, an eight-year-old boy had done an extraordinary thing which we never heard before. Luke Marsh took six wickets on all six consecutive deliveries of an over.

It happened in a local cricket match at New Zealand. The match was between Kaikorai and Taieri in Montecillo on 5th February, Friday. Luke was playing for Kaikorai where he achieved this extraordinary feat. In addition, all the dismissals were bowled.

Luke, who lives in Dunedin, is a 5-year-old pupil at Brockville School. The right-arm pace bowler said that his focus was only to pitch the balls on the right line and length. He said, “Two times the ball got stuck in the wickets and we had to get it out.” Luke has been playing cricket for three years.

Opposition team Taieri lost two wickets in the first over and was out for one run after just two overs.

Tony Marsh, Luke’s father, had told him to pick up only three wickets in that match for celebrating the little bowler’s ninth birthday which was on 6th February, Saturday; the very next day of that match.

Later, Luke had a trial hoping to represent a Dunedin side.
