Team India skipper Virat Kohli is of the opinion that both the wrist spinners Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal will be the biggest match winners for India in the upcoming 2019 World Cup which is slated to be played in England and Wales from 30th May.
India will begin the tournament as one of the favourites. However, there are few other teams who might pose a serious challenge to India and they should expect tough competition all through the tournament.
In the last two years, Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal have been two pillars for India, especially in the limited overs format. Right from the series against South Africa till the ODI series against Australia, the wrist spinning dup has done a sensational job.

Their success has reduced the chances of Ravichandran Ashwin to make a return. Ravindra Jadeja despite being in the squad is just a 3rd choice spinner and might play only if the conditions suit his style of play.
“Someone like Kuldeep has had such success, he needs to see the other side also. Glad it happened during the IPL than the World Cup. He is one of the pillars along with Chahal for our bowling.
Same for Jadhav, he wasn’t playing in the best of pitches and T20 is such a format. I’m sure they are in a good headspace, in World Cup its more about handling the pressure and ensuring we stay focussed,” Virat Kohli said during a press conference ahead of their first World Cup warm-up game against New Zealand.

In the last few years, India has undoubtedly been one of the best teams in world cricket. Barring a surprising series loss against Australia in home, India has been pretty consistent and had a sensational 2018 They won the ODI series in South Africa and Australia besides winning a T20I series in England. All in all, India is expected to be a frontrunner to lift their 3rd World Cup title.
