Apart from the boos and chants against Steven Smith and David Warner during a warm-up game against England, who are making a comeback in Australia’s national team, Prince Harry has recently sledged Kangaroos leader Aaron Finch as the latter is with his team to feature in the ICC World Cup 2019.

Meanwhile, Harry, who had taken a cheeky sledge at Finch, further made things unpleasant between the Ashes rivals.

Recently, the English crowd, notably the Barmy Army, has scathed Australian core group. Ahead of the marquee event, the group has called Warner and Smith ‘cheats’ which has subsequently stroked a new controversy.

During the reception of all-ten team captains at the Buckingham Palace on May 28 (Wednesday) the Duke of Sussex asked Finch how long he has been playing cricket.

“You’re getting on a bit now, aren’t you? How long have you been playing?” UK’s Express digital quoted Harry as saying.

Interestingly, before the kick-off of the World Cup, Harry has had graced the occasion when he made an appearance as one of the dignitaries at the Kennington Oval stadium in London. Also, he had delivered a brief speech before the beginning of England vs South Africa game on May 30.

However, the top-order batsman Finch has responded to Harry genuinely by saying he has been playing cricket for over eight years. Furthermore, he has also baffled the prince by naming England and India favourites for lifting the coveted trophy.

Meanwhile, the 32-year-old Finch would be brimming with confidence as Australia have won eight ODI on the trot. They will play Afghanistan in their World Cup opener on June 1st at Bristol County Ground.
