Indian skipper Virat Kohli seems to have changed his bowling style as he was recently seen bowling off-spin during team India’s net session. The right-arm bowler was bowling off-spin deliveries, unlike the medium pace deliveries that he bowls during matches.
Kohli practising spin bowling could an indication that he might bowl during matches if the tracks are slow during the tournament. We have seen many part-time bowlers rolling their arms in the Worl Cup so far (including practice matches) and Kohli can also bowl if he feels the need to do so. Here is the video of Kohli bowling off-spin –

Kohli has not bowled much in matches in his career so far but on the tour of Australia, he had famously taken a wicket during the practice match against Cricket Australia XI. He dismissed Harry Nielsen, who was batting on a score of 100. He bowled medium pace in that match.

Kohli had also famously bowled in the semi-final of T20 World Cup between India and West Indies in 2016. He took a wicket in his first over and was asked to bowl the final over as well. Though he went for 8 runs and West Indies qualified for the finals.

Meanwhile, India play their first match of World Cup 2019 on June 5 against South Africa. India still have time to prepare for the match. The Men in Blue played two warm-up matches on road to World Cup. They won the second game against Bangladesh but lost to New Zealand.
The match against Bangladesh saw India get an answer to their number four conundrum as KL Rahul, who hit a century in that match, will be batting at that position for now. There can always be a change in plans if he fails to deliver.

South Africa, team India’s first opponent of the tournament, have a busy schedule and they are on their toes. The Faf du Plessis-led side played its first match of World Cup on May 30th and will next play against Bangladesh on June 2. The match against India will be South Africa’s third match of the tournament.
Today – on day 3rd of the tournament – New Zealand play Sri Lanka at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff. In another match, Afghanistan will face Australia at County Ground in Bristol.
