Real Madrid have signed Eden Hazard for £88.5 million, the deal could rise to £130 million with add ons.
The official announcement regarding the transfer was made yesterday by Real Madrid C.F. The 28 year old will be officially unveiled in the Santiago Bernabeau on Thursday after the completion of Medical.
The deal seems to be a bargain in the current transfer market, which is due to a single year left in Hazard’s contract at Chelsea. Hazard will sign a five year deal with the Galacticos and earn £400k a week.

In a message posted soon after on Facebook, Hazard said: “To my Chelsea friends and family, you now know that I will be joining Real Madrid. It’s no secret that it was my dream to play for them since I was a young boy. I have tried my very best not to distract myself or the team through this difficult period of speculation and media attention. Now it’s in the open I would like to put on record one thing was always clear to me, I have loved every moment at Chelsea and not once did I ever consider, nor would I have left for any other club.
“Chelsea and especially Chelsea fans will always be special to me and next season I will look for your results first. I hope that we are drawn against each other in the Champions League next season and every season so we can meet again.”
Real Madrid are on a big spending spree this summer, having already signed Eder Militao from F.C Porto in a £53 million deal, Luka Jovic from Eintracht Frankfurt in £60 million deal and now Hazard from Chelsea for £88million.
Zinedine Zidane has been rebuilding the squad after a very poor season for the Galacticos, finishing 3rd in the league and exiting Champions League in the Round of 16. A trophyless season sparked Florentino Perez to give Zidane a huge budget, just like they did in 2011 signing Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka, Karim Benzema and Xabi Alonso in a total sum of £260 million.
Real Madrid are also rumored of targeting Paul Pogba and Christian Eriksen to bring one of them to Madrid, this summer.
