MS Dhoni has been in the news since he wore Balidaan badge gloves against South Africa. Despite India playing against Australia on Sunday, MS Dhoni’s Balidaan badge row continues to take center stage in news coverage.
After spotting the logo, the ICC formally requested BCCI to ask the player to discontinue usage of such gloves. However, BCCI in return has requested the apex body to let Dhoni continue wearing his gloves.

The International Cricket Council has revealed that players are forbidden from wearing such logos in cricket matches. This sparked controversy all over the social media. From Sunil Gavaskar to Rohit Sharma, everyone are queried about this controversy.
Meanwhile, Virender Sehwag is the latest one to join the debate on MS Dhoni’s controversy. However, instead of making opinions, Sehwag was more informative about how Dhoni could continue wearing the gloves. He shared a video on his twitter handle about the same.

In the video, Virender Sehwag was telling how a player can request ICC to get the logo allowed. He asked Dhoni to write to ICC seeking permission to allow Balidaan badge. Instead of gloves, Virender Sehwag also suggested Dhoni to use the badge on his bat.
He confirmed that ICC allows two logos on the cricket bats and the players are entitled to use one logo for their personal use. Virender Sehwag himself used one slot for Sehwag international school during his playing days.

The former India opener also cautioned fans against protests. However, he suggested the fans to watch India vs Australia with Balidaan badge and share corresponding photos or videos on social media. This would eventually help to be a peaceful protest against ICC’s decision, he reckons.
Virender Sehwag also wished MS Dhoni to get Man of the match against Australia. He revealed that the former skipper has too many people praying for his success back home.
MS Dhoni was awarded the honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Parachute Regiment in 2011. He also underwent basic training with Para Brigade in 2015. India are set to take on Australia on Sunday. Despite the controversy, India are expected to play to their potential against defending champions.
