Bangladesh cricketer Soumya Sarkar was in the news after copying Shikhar Dhawan’s tribute post on Yuvraj Singh’s retirement. However, it is needless to say the Bangladesh cricketer was a fan of Yuvraj Singh.
Soumya Sarkar paid his tribute to Yuvraj Singh via his Facebook account. But soon it has become clear that he copied Shikhar Dhawan’s post. Not just some random post, Soumya Sarkar’s was ditto to that of Dhawan’s. In fact every word in his post was taken from Shikhar Dhawan’s post.
Yuvraj Singh announced his retirement on Monday from all forms of cricket. The social media soon saw a tribute tsunami for the southpaw. From fans to celebrities, everyone shared their emotional tributes to Yuvraj Singh for his efforts to Indian cricket.

But Soumya Sarkar’s post rather drew unwanted attention after the copying. Shikhar Dhawan posted a tribute post to Yuvraj Singh on 10th June at 4.09 pm. On the other hand, Soumya Sarkar’s post came later in the day as he posted at 10:49 pm.
Soumya Sarkar post read as, “Thank you, Yuvi paaji
You are one of the best left-handed batsmen I have ever seen.I always looked up to your style & batting technique, have learnt so much from you.
Wish you prosperity & success in your new journey.”

Meanwhile, Shikhar Dhawan is nursing a thumb fracture in the ongoing world cup. The 33-year old sustained the injury during the game against Australia on Sunday. However, he needs three weeks time to recover. Indian team management are hoping to see Dhawan fit for the latter stages of the world cup.

Here is what Shikhar Dhawan tweeted earlier that day
Thank you, Yuvi paaji for all the guidance, support & love. ♥ You are one of the best left-handed batsmen I have come across. I always looked up to your style & batting technique, have learnt so much from you! Wish you prosperity & success in your new journey. Rab rakha ?? pic.twitter.com/AQH4LkgS0Q

Yuvraj Singh finished as one of the best players in India’s limited overs cricket. He earned the respect of every cricketing lover across the world. The way he fought the deadly cancer and came back to show flashes of his brilliant best is amazing.
It is needless to say, if Yuvraj Singh did not had cancer, he would be one of the greatest ODI players cricket had ever seen. Just when he was hitting the peak stage in his career, he suffered from cancer post 2011 world cup.
However, he still managed to make a name for himself. His incredible six 6s, impressive knocks for India in crucial games made him fan favorite. Yuvraj Singh had engraved his name into Indian cricket and into cricket record books with his glamorous batting over the years. It is sad to see such a great player retire. But good things always come to an end and so did Yuvraj Singh’s cricketing career.
