The former skipper of Pakistan Asif Iqbal revealed that the prime minister of Pakistan Imran Khan, who is the former skipper of Pakistan team always strives for the relationship between India and Pakistan. Asif Iqbal expressed his belief saying that Imran Khan has always done his best for his country.
“If he believes in something, he will go all the way in achieving that goal. He believes that Virat Kohli-led India and Pakistan can live as friendly neighbours. I think he will at least try his best and go all the way for peace…not just as cricketers but as Pakistanis, we believe in what he says,” Iqbal said to PTI.

“Imran Khan is totally committed and that’s what Pakistanis need economic prosperity, stability in the region. I am not qualified to comment since I don’t know. This is what the media says,” the veteran of 58 Test matches said.
Coming to the history between the duo, India has a flawless track record against Pakistan in the ICC World Cup. They never gave a single chance for Pakistan team to win a single match.
Well, it would be interesting to see how things would pan out when India and Pakistan lock horns in the major event. Most probably, the atmosphere is going to be top-notch with the tickets already being sold out.
So far, the arch-rivals, India and Pakistan have faced each other six times in the World Cup and each time, Men in Blue came out on top. This will be their 7th meeting in ICC Cricket World Cups. It is scheduled to be played on June 16th at Manchester.
