Well, there comes the first injury scare for the England Cricket Team in the ongoing ICC World Cup 2019. The flamboyant opening batsman, Jason Roy, who scored a stunning century in the previous clash against Bangladesh has pulled up his hamstring to walk away during the game against Windies.
The incident took place in the powerplay overs of the game when he was attempting to field a run. Though there wasn’t any hurry or the pressure, the right-handed batsman, unfortunately, pulled up his Hamstring.
Jason Roy pulled up his Left Hamstring:
As Jason Roy felt uncomfortable, the skipper Eoin Morgan immediately signalled the substitute James Vince to take the field while Jason Roy left the field by holding the back side of his thigh.

Coming to the match status, so far, in the 18 overs of the game, England is on the driver seat. After winning the toss, Chris Woakes sent Evin Lewis back to the hut by bowling a ripper to dislodge the bails.
However, Chris Gayle to up the ante after the escape from Mark Wood hands in the deep. He smashed a couple of boundaries and a six before Liam Plunkett setting him to pull the ball into the hands of Jonny Bairstow.

Shai Hope, who looked rusty in the middle, battled for a brief time before Mark Wood trapping him in front of the wicket. However, the young Nicholas Pooran and Shimron Hetmyer were battling in the middle by finding the fence occasionally.
Coming back to Jason Roy, it would be interesting to see whether Jason Roy will take the part in the remaining match or not. If England wants to bat him in the game, he needs to be on the field before the 50 overs of the innings. Mostly, they wouldn’t risk Jason Roy if there is a chance of extension of his injury.
