The 32-year-old Afghanistan wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Shahzad has faced a tough time, of late. The crestfallen opener has recently been ruled out of the Afghanistan squad after suffering from a knee injury. However, Shahzad has blamed the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) while terming his http://Mohammad Shahzadexclusion as a conspiracy against him.
Recently, the explosive right-handed batsman Shazad has featured in two matches of the ongoing ICC World Cup 2019 which further saw him playing against Australia and Sri Lanka respectively.
As the decision has plunged into controversy, Shahzad further maintained if the board is not in favour of him playing cricket, he will hang his boots at the earliest.
Unfit Shahzad breaks down in tears:

Before being declared unfit for the ongoing twelfth edition of the World Cup, Shahzad has failed to score runs at Bristol and Cardiff respectively.
In between, ACB has made it clear that they won’t show leniency towards unfit players. The board has recently maintained that a detailed report has been submitted to the world cricket governing body; ICC.
Since 2009, Shahzad has played a significant role for Afghanistan which further saw him featuring in 84 ODIs and 65 Twenty20 International for his national team. Also, he featured in the historic Test against India in June 2018 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
Now, with Shahzad being dropped from the squad amid the ongoing ODI showpiece, many have thrown support behind the batsman who is capable of playing an excellent role in the limited-overs cricket.
The disappointing show saw him scoring a duck and followed it with seven against the Islanders. Also, Shahzad in his recent interview maintained Afghanistan head coach Phil Simmons was unaware about his omission.

Anyway, there is a sigh of relief for Shahzad, who has been blessed with a baby boy. Thus, it is expected that it will be a turn of events for Shahzad. Last week, young Ikram Ali has replaced him. The 18-year-old Ali couldn’t do much against the Black Caps which saw him returning to the pavilion after scoring just two runs.
Moreover, Shahzad has six tons and 14 half-centuries to his name in the ODI format.
Meanwhile, after losing three games on the trot, Afghanistan will take on struggling South Africa on June 15 at Cardiff. Well, it’s a must-win game for both teams.
