Well, it was a brilliant tournament, which saw the fans watching the game in enormous numbers. After a couple of months cricket festival, the hosts, England made their dream come true by winning their first-ever World Cup trophy by beating New Zealand on the count of boundaries after the super-over tie. Meanwhile, ICC releases their team of the tournament, which will be led by Kane Williamson.
The tournament has witnessed quite a few majestic performances from the world-class players. The flamboyant cricketers of all the teams displayed their class in the middle to see their side finishing in the best position. Despite a lot of performers, ICC picked out the best XI of the tournament.

Rohit Sharma, Jason Roy to open:
They asked the leading run-scorer of the tournament Rohit Sharma to open the innings with Jason Roy, who made an impact for the team with his powerful starts throughout the tournament. Rohit Sharma broke quite a few records while Jason Roy overcame injuries to play for his country with a lot of heart.
At number 3, the ICC asked Kane Williamson to bat. He led the team from the front and also collected the man of the tournament award. Further, they asked Kane Williamson to lead the side as well.

He will be followed by the Bangladeshi cricketer Shakib Al Hasan, who has been phenomenal for Bangladesh in this tournament. Shakib was the strong contender for man of the series award but missed out.
Ben Stokes, Alex Carey finds a place:
Surprisingly, Joe Root was named in the side as well. He will be played at number 5 while Ben Stokes – the man of the match in the final of the tournament will be playing at number 6 in the lineup of ICC. Following them will be Alex Carey, who played the tournament like a champion player.

There is no spinner in ICC Team of the tournament, as they filled the remaining slots with fast bowlers. Trust me, you can’t get a better bowling combination than this in the world. They asked Mitchell Starc to play at number 7.
He will be accompanied by the super-over bowler Jofra Archer alongside the man for the Indian team Jasprit Bumrah and Kiwis’ star Lockie Ferguson. For 12th man, they named Trent Boult.
