Wicket-keeper missed the ball and it went on to hit the stumps.  Yuvraj was inside his crease when the ball hit the stumps but he seemed to be done for the day. He started walking off the field after his 27-ball struggle in which he scored 14 runs.

The scene on the field was bizarre because the umpires never gave Yuvraj out. He missed a big and decided to walk off when the ball hit the stumps. Here is how everything panned out –

Yuvraj, the captain of Toronto Nationals, disappointed on his debut in Global T20 Canada. He faced 27 balls and just scored 14 runs. It wasn’t the debut that Yuvraj would have hoped for.

Rodrigo Thomas (41 off 31), Heinrich Klaasen (41 off 20) and Kieron Pollard (30* off 13) helped their side post a total of 159 on the board. The target was never a big one for Chris Gayle-led Vancouver Knights and they chased it down in 17.2 overs.

Gayle did not have a great outing and was dismissed on 12 off 10. Opener Tobias Visee failed to convert his 16-ball 20 into a big one. Chadwick Walton (59* off 35) and Rassie van der Dussen (65* off43) shared 126 runs for the third wicket to lead their side to a big win.

The duo complimented each other well and kept the run-rate high, even when the team was in a tricky situation at the start. Their blitz never saw Vancoer Knights struggle and in the end, it was an easy chase for them.

Yuvraj’s dry run on his debut was one o the talking points from the match and the star player would like to make a strong comeback. Toronto Nationals play Edmonton Royals in their next match while Vancouver Knights take on Winnipeg Hawks next on Sunday.
