Shastri and Kohli’s relationship had further had the team to knit well with management playing a significant role in helping the youngsters.

With many legendary players throwing their hat in the ring for the high-profile post, Kohli is happy to play under Shastri’s coaching reign.

Interestingly, Kohli expressed that he is ready to give his suggestion if Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) presided by 1983 World Cup-winning skipper Kapil Dev is prepared for the same.
“The CAC hasn’t contacted me yet. If they want my opinion, I’ll go and speak to them. With Ravi Bhai, we share a great camaraderie, and will definitely be very happy if he continues. But I haven’t been contacted so far,” Kohli addressed the media alongside Shastri.
With many filing nominations for the supporting staff as well, the BCCI recently set July 30 as the deadline for the applications to be filled for the Team India.
