The 18-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman Dhruv Chand Jurel will lead the India U19 side in the upcoming Youth Asia Cup 2019. Sri Lanka will host this tournament from 3rd to 15th September 2019.
On Monday (29th July), the All-India Junior Selection committee picked up the 15-member India U19 team for the forthcoming Youth Asia Cup.
At present, the India U19 cricket team is busy in England for the ODI tri-series. The hosts England and Bangladesh are also participating in this series. The 18-year-old Priyam Garg is leading this junior Indian side who are currently the table-topper (five points). After their first four matches of this series, India U19 have won twice, lost once and one had no result.

However, Garg is not in the Asia Cup squad, who scored a century (100*) against Bangladesh in the ongoing tri-series. The selectors have chosen the wicketkeeper Dhruv Chand Jurel as the skipper for the upcoming Asia Cup. Dhruv is currently in England with the India U19 side and has already played two matches in the tri-series. Apart from scoring 41 runs (7* and 34 runs), Dhruv has also taken five catches in this tri-series.
