Ahead of the first Ashes Test, the Australian Cricket Team, who enter as defending champions of Ashes cup, hit by a major scare. Their premium batsman David Warner was hit by a ball during the practice sessions. It might prove costly, as his participation in the first Test is in jeopardy.
The incident happened when the tourists were training at the Edgbaston pitch ahead of the first Test against Ashes rivals England. David Warner had to leave the nets with a bruised left thigh. He was hit by a ball from medium-pacer Michael Neser.

David Warner Injury is a massive blow to Australia:
The Australian team’s preparations are underway in full swing. The Tim Paine-led side aims to retain the Ashes. However, Warner’s injury might dent their hopes. The left-hander is one of the key figures in the batting line-up and is expected to play a huge role for the Aussies.
The opening batsman has now less than three days to recover for the Ashes opener in Birmingham. Warner’s injury could be a big blow to Australia as the Southpaw is in form of his life, ever since, he returned to the game after the ball-tampering incident.

He was one of the top performers for the Aussies in the showpiece event. He continued his fine form from the Indian Premier League (IPL). Warner finished as the second-highest run-getter in the World Cup with 647 runs in ten matches at an exceptional average of 71.89.
David Warner is returning to the Australia Test side for the first time since the ball-tampering incident. Earlier, it led to a one-year ban on the batsman, along with the then-captain Steve Smith and Cameron Bancroft.
