The Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA) has given a clear signal to the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) presided by Kapil Dev, to pick Team India’s next chief coach.
Meanwhile, the three-member CAC were cleared of any conflict before giving a green signal to the committee for picking India’s new coach.

Dev will appoint Men in Blue’s chief coach:
The committee is comprised of Dev along with Anshuman Gaekwad and Shantha Rangaswamy respectively.
Earlier, some internationally renowned coach had thrown their hats in the ring for the lucrative top-brass post.
Meanwhile, the CoA chief Anshuman Gaekwad has reiterated that they’ve gone through the declarations presented by the CAC.
Rai further explained that the meeting would take place in mid-August with the shortlisted candidates. Also, he maintained the decision from the CAC stands final.
“We have seen, it is fine. The meetings with the shortlisted candidates will happen in mid-August and the appointment will follow after that. CAC’s decision with regards to appointment will be final,” IANS quoted Rai, as saying.
In the previous meeting, CoA had appointed the trio. Also, CEO Rahul Johri had asked the members to statement regarding any conflict of interest.
Vinod Rai on state-based associations:
However, Rai had dodged the question regarding the evaluation of the employees of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

Meanwhile, while speaking about the state associations, Rail remarked that 26 state-based associations had accepted the act with the accordance of the BCCI’s new constitution.
“Twenty six states have complied and appointed electoral officers. Only those states that are compliant will have voting rights,” Rai maintained.
Furthermore, Rai remarked that the associations from states had met the “cooling off” part.
Also, Rai is optimistic that the number will increase to 30 by the time of polls. Besides, he had made it clear that associations which won’t comply under the newly-adopted constitution won’t be able to partake in the elections.
