Bangladesh national cricket team is now growing up in international cricket. They are now achieving regular success and becoming a competitive side.
Most of the consistent Bangladesh cricketers earn regular monthly incomes under the central contract of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).
The BCB announced the latest central contract in February 2019. A total of 17 players are in the newest central contract, four more than the previous contract.
Apart from this earning, every Bangladesh cricketer also receives match fees. Each of the playing XI members earns BDT 3 lakh/Test, BDT 2 lakh/ODI and BDT 1.25 lakh/T20I. The captain also gets a responsibility bonus, which is the BDT 20,000/match.
Here are the category details in the latest BCB central contract.
Grade A+: BDT 4 lakh/month
The Grade A+ is the highest category in the BCB’s latest central contract. The top national players have been included in this category who earns BDT 4 lakh per month. In the latest central contract, five players are in the Grade A+. These players are Mashrafe Mortaza, Tamim Iqbal, Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah.
Grade A: BDT 3 lakh/month
In the latest BCB central contract, the Grade A players earn BDT 3 lakh/month. A total of three players are in the newest Grade A category. These players are Imrul Kayes, Mustafizur Rahman and Rubel Hossain. Imrul Kayes missed out the previous contract, but he has earned the latest agreement.
Grade B: BDT 2 lakh/month
According to the latest BCB central contract, the value of each Grade B players is BDT 2 lakh/month. In the most recent contract, the BCB has included four players in Grade B. These players are Taijul Islam, Mehidy Hasan, Liton Das and Mominul Haque. Liton Das was in the Rookie category in the previous contract, but he has earned a promotion in the latest contract.
Rookie category: BDT 1 lakh/month
A total of five Bangladesh cricketers are in the Rookie category, the lowest category in BCB’s central contract. These players are Abu Haider Rony, Abu Jayed Rahi, Mohammad Saifuddin, Nayeem Hasan and Syed Khaled Ahmed. Each of them earns BDT 1 lakh per month. Nazmul Hossain missed out the latest contract, who was in the Rookie category during the previous contract. Meanwhile, apart from Abu Haider Rony, all other present four members are the latest inclusions in the Rookie Category.
