The latest name to come under the hammer of Conflict of Interest issue is the former India skipper and the current head coach for the junior cricketers Rahul Dravid. However, the move to send notice irked Sourav Ganguly, who slammed the Board of Control for Cricket in India and asked God to save the Indian Cricket.
In between, the former India captain Sourav Ganguly on Wednesday slammed the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for sending a Conflict of Interest notice to Rahul Dravid. “God, help Indian cricket,” said Sourav Ganguly. He said it while expressing his displeasure after Rahul Dravid was issued a notice from the BCCI’s ethics officer on conflict of interest allegations against the legend.

Dravid is currently the head of National Cricket Academy’s (NCA) operations in Bangalore. He has got a notice from BCCI’s Ombudsman-cum-Ethics Officer Justice (Retd) D.K. Jain. The official received a complaint from Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA) life member Sanjeev Gupta.

Meanwhile, it didn’t sit down well with Sourav Ganguly, who was recently named in a similar act. Regarding the same, he took to Twitter to express his anger. Ganguly felt that it is just a publicity stunt to stay on the headlines with something or the other news on a regular basis.

Dravid has been given two weeks to reply on the allegations levelled against him. According to Gupta, Dravid is allegedly conflicted. Currently, he is National Cricket Academy (NCA) director and vice-president of India Cements Group, which owns Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Chennai Super Kings.

Meanwhile, earlier, Gupta filed a similar conflict of interest complaints against former cricketers. VVS Laxman and Sachin Tendulkar for their Dual roles. They are Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) members and mentors of IPL franchises Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians respectively.
