The Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku has joined the Nerazzurri, beating rivals Juventus to his signature
28 year old, Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku has joined Inter Milan, with a €78 million fee agreed between the clubs. It was long decided, he will leave the club in this transfer window.

A Romelu Lukaku, Paulo Dybala swap deal was on the charts, a week ago. The move fell off after Dybala’s high wage demands were refused by United
Lukaku reached Milan last night with his manager Federico Pastorello, who were received by 500 fans at the airport. Antonio Conte had earlier excluded Mauro Icardi from his plans. Inter have made it clear that Icardi needs to find a new club for him, and will not be included in the team next season. Lukaku had been Conte’s top priority, and he made him, his first big signing at the new club.

Romelu Lukaku said in a video after the contract agreement, “Inter were the only club I wanted. I’m here to bring the Nerazzurri back to the top.”
Conte had always praised Lukaku and wanted to sign him for Chelsea when United plunged in to sign him from Everton. The Italian could only get his hands on Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid. Now, the pair finally unite at Inter Milan. Lukaku hailed Conte as the best manager in the world, at the end of last season.
The Belgian striker made 96 appearances for the Reds during his 2-year spell, netting 42 goals. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had left out Lukaku from the preseason friendlies after he had handed the club a transfer request. Marcus Rashford was being overlooked by Solskjaer, undermining Lukaku, which reportedly forced him to make a move away from the club
Manchester United released a statement after the move saying: “Everybody would like to thank Romelu for his efforts at the club and pass on our best wishes for the future.”
