Manoj Tiwary wants to concentrate on his game

The CAB selectors had initially adviced for the split captaincy for the new season. According to their advice, Easwaran would be the captain in first-class cricket, and Tiwary would continue white-ball captaincy.

However, Tiwary has wished to focus as a player for the new season. So, the selectors have finally decided to choose Abhimanyu Easwaran as the captain of the Bengal team in all formats. However, Tiwary has also assured that he will guide the new captain as a senior player.

The CAB selectors have announced the 21-member squad for the forthcoming pre-season tournament. It will be the 50-over tournament in Jaipur that will begin from Tuesday.
