Tim Paine was on the news for not only bagging a few records to his name but also for his poor calling of DRS during the high-profile clash of Ashes 2019. Following his poor judgement, Tim Paine himself admitted that he needs to learn in that segment, which is troubling the team. Meanwhile, Aakash Chopra asks Tim Paine to give a call to MS Dhoni, who is fondly known for his accurate DRS callings.
It was not for the first time that Paine got the DRS wrong. It happened in Headingley that cost them the match and then at Oval, Paine should have opted for the DRS but did not.

Replays showed three reds which meant had he taken the DRS, Joe Denly would have been back in the pavilion, instead, he went on to score 94 runs in the second innings.

I am getting it wrong – Tim Paine
While Paine was lauded for becoming the only captain after Steve Waugh (in 2011) to retain the Ashes, he also received a fair amount of criticism for his DRS calls – something which has become very important for captains across the globe.
“I’m getting it wrong,” said Paine. “I don’t know what else to say. We’re having a mare (nightmare). We’ve got it wrong. It’s fast,” he added. “It’s a tough job as I’ve said throughout the whole Test series. I’ve got a new respect for umpiring, particularly in Test cricket because it’s a hard job.”

During the 5th and final Test, Paine agreed to the fact that his team is getting nightmares after getting most of the DRS calls wrong. The Aussies failed to win the Ashes series as the hosts fought back in the final game – which saw Joe Root’s men winning the match by 135 runs to level series 2-2.
The result meant that the Ashes ended in a draw for the first time since 1972. However, Australia would be a happy bunch of guys as they retained the trophy.
Mocking Tim Paine, Aakash Chopra tweeted ”Give a call to Dhoni. See if he’s ready to take students
