Third and the last T20I against South Africa was disappointing for India. The inexperienced but talented Proteas gave India a tough fight as they won the match by 9 wickets. The visitor after losing the second match brought back the fight in Bengaluru ground. Virat Kohli’s team set a very low target of 135 runs which was easily chased by Quinton de Kock‘s team.
India won the toss and Virat Kohli chose to bat first which was an unexpected decision. After the start of that match, Rohit Sharma soon lost his wicket on 9 runs on the ball of Beuran Hendricks. Kohli was also not able to repeat his performance like the last innings and was also out after making 9 runs in the ball of Kagiso Rabada.

There was also a moment of heat between Beuran Hendricks and Virat Kohli. When Hendricks came to the bowl in the fifth over he stared at skipper in Kohli’s style. Kohli replied it with a nudge in his shoulder. After that Hendrick passed a notorious smile to the skipper.

South Africa’s captain Quinton de Kock led the team from the front as he scored unbeaten 79 runs in just 52 balls. He with Temba Bavuma set a good partnership and equalled the three T20I series with 1-1. Quinton De Kock has played in Indian grounds in Indian premier league so he has experience in Indian fields. His experience helped South Africa to gain victory.

Virat Kohli led young Indian team was not able to read the pitch and no bowler was able to pick the wicket, expect Hardik Pandya. There was also an awkward situation when Both Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer came to bat at No.4. Virat Kohli had to clear the confusion on the post-match ceremony. He said there was a miscommunication.
India’s next assignment will start from 2nd October in Visakhapatnam as they will play the Test series against South Africa.
