Sourav Ganguly will take the seat of BCCI’s president on October 23. The position will be expensive for Sourav Ganguly as he will lose more than Rs 7 Crore. As per a report in Mumbai Mirror, Ganguly will not be able to do commentary and will not be present in TV shows as expert or host which will lead to loss of this much money to the former Indian captain.

Ganguly had shown interest in holding the top position in the Board of Control for Cricket in India. It will be his first experience as the president of BCCI and will hold the post till July 2020 after which he could take up the roles of commentator or host or expert.

Sourav Ganguly will leave Delhi Daredevils
He is also the president of Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) and will leave the role to hold the new position. The veteran will also have to leave his all media contracts because of conflict of interest issue. As per the Lodha reforms, no official can hold more than one post at a time. Because of the rule, Rahul Dravid had also left the role of the Delhi Daredevils’ coach to be the coach of India A and U-19.
The Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) comprising of Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman and Ganguly was disband because of the same rule.

Ganguly is also connected with IPL franchise Delhi Capitals (DC) as the advisor and will also leave the franchise. Under him, Delhi Capitals, the first time in six years, reached in the playoffs. His decisions proved beneficial for the team.
