International Cricket Council (ICC) revealed the latest T20I players’ rankings on last Sunday (10th November). The Nagpur T20I hero, Indian pacer Deepak Chahar has managed to make a big jump in T20I bowling rankings. While the Indian cricketer KL Rahul climbed up in the batting rankings, Australian captain Aaron Finch took the second position of the batting rankings. English cricketer Dawid Malan has managed a remarkable re-entry in T20I batting rankings as he is just behind of Aaron Finch.

New Pakistan T20I captain Babar Azam has retained the top position of the T20I batting rankings. In the recently concluded three-match T20I series between the hosts Australia and the visitors Pakistan, Babar hit two back-to-back 50s and finished as the leading run-scorer in that series. As an opening batsman, Babar scored 115 runs in that series with an average of 57.50.

On the other hand, Australian limited-overs captain Aaron Finch has climbed up the two spots in the T20I batting rankings and he is now standing in the second position. Finch was the third most run-scorer and Australia’s leading run-scorer in that series against Pakistan. The opener scored 106 runs in that series (average 106.00).

England cricketer Dawid Malan has made a great re-entry in the T20I batting rankings and he is now putting pressure on Babar Azam and Aaron Finch. In the recently concluded T20I series against the hosts New Zealand, Malan finished as the leading run-scorer. He scored 208 runs in five innings with an average of 69.33. In this series, Malan hit one smashing century at Napier (103*) and one half-century at Nelson (55).

Top 10 T20I batting rankings: KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma are the only two Indians

Among the Indian cricketers, two players are in the top 10 batting rankings. While Rohit Sharma retained the seventh position, KL Rahul has moved up one spot to no.8 position. In the recently concluded home T20I series against Bangladesh, stand-in captain Rohit played a match-winning knock of 85 runs at Rajkot. However, he failed to reach the double-digit scores in the other two matches of this series.

Meanwhile, KL Rahul played an important game-changing knock against Bangladesh in the series decider Nagpur T20I. His 52 runs helped India to set a challenging total in that match.

The 20-year-old Bangladesh opening batsman Mohammad Naim impressed in that T20I series, which was also his first international experience. While he finished that series as the leading run-scorer (143 runs), including the remarkable knock of 81 in Nagpur T20I, he is standing in the 38th position of ICC T20I batting rankings – jointly with the English cricketer Jonny Bairstow.

Deepak Chahar moved up 88 spots

Talking about the T20I bowling rankings, Indian pacer Deepak Chahar has managed to make a big jump. On last Sunday (10th November) night, during the Nagpur T20I, the right-arm pacer Chahar became the first Indian to claim a T20I hat-trick. Also, in that same game, Chahar managed the best ever T20I bowling figures of 3.2-0-7-6. Chahar won the Player of the Series award in that home T20I series against Bangladesh after finishing as the most T20I wicket-taker in that series (eight wickets).

After that series, Deepak Chahar has jumped to 88 spots as he is now standing in the 42nd position of the T20I bowling rankings.
