On this Wednesday (20th November), India emerging team will face Pakistan emerging team in the upcoming first semi-final of the 2019 ACC Emerging Teams Cup.
Four teams have qualified for the semi-finals of the ongoing 2019 ACC Emerging Teams Cup. Pakistan and Afghanistan emerging teams have qualified for the last four-stage from Group A, and the hosts Bangladesh and India emerging teams have qualified for the last four-stage from Group B.
In the first semi-final of this tournament, Group B runners-up India emerging team will face Group A champions Pakistan emerging team on 20th November. On the next day, Group B champions Bangladesh emerging team (hosts) will play against Group A runners-up Afghanistan emerging team in the other semi-final. Both the semi-final winners will meet in the final of this tournament on this Friday (23rd November). All the knockout stage matches will be played at Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium (Dhaka).
India emerging team have secured their place in the semi-final of this tournament on Monday (18th November) after beating Hong Kong emerging team by 120 runs. While India scored 322/5 (50 overs) after winning the toss, Hong Kong were bowled out on 202 runs.
Earlier, India emerging team beat Nepal emerging team by seven wickets but then they suffered a six-wicket defeat against the hosts Bangladesh emerging team.
In the meantime, Pakistan emerging team have qualified for the semi-final after winning all the three matches in the Group Stage. They beat Afghanistan emerging team by eight wickets, the defending champions Sri Lanka emerging team by 90 runs and Oman emerging team by 147 runs.

However, in the ACC Emerging Teams Cup history, Pakistan emerging team have never beaten India emerging team. They have played thrice in this tournament history, including once in the semi-final and final, and India emerging team have won all those matches.

The ongoing edition is the fourth edition of the ACC Emerging Teams Cup. While India emerging team won this tournament once and that too in the inaugural season in 2013, Sri Lanka emerging team won it the remaining twice. Meanwhile, Pakistan emerging team finished as the runners-up twice and India emerging team also finished as the runners-up in the last edition (2018).
