The 26-year-old Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah is ready to return in the cricket match and that too ahead of the new year (2020). While he is set to return in the international cricket in early January 2020, Bumrah is also available for the upcoming Ranji Trophy match.

Jasprit Bumrah has put the major impact in the Indian pace bowling line-up. Soon after making his international debut, Bumrah has continuously impressed with his bowling skills. Apart from his unorthodox bowling action, Bumrah is also famous for his accurate yorker bowling skills.

While Jasprit Bumrah made his international debut in 2016, he made Test debut in January 2018. Since his Test debut, Bumrah has developed his bowling skills in more efficiently.

Jasprit Bumrah has already played 12 Tests, 58 ODIs and 42 T20Is where he has taken 62, 103 and 51 wickets respectively. He was India’s leading wicket-taker in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 as the right-arm pacer bagged 18 wickets in nine matches.

Bumrah last played during the Kingston Test against West Indies in last August-September. In that game, he also took a hat-trick.

Just ahead of the home Test series against South Africa, Jasprit Bumrah reported minor stress fracture at the lower back. He not only missed out that entire Test series but also the other remaining home international series in 2019.

Jasprit Bumrah went to the UK to consult with three doctors about his injury. Though initially, it was expecting that he would have to undergo a surgery, ultimately he didn’t need to face surgery for that injury.

After returning to India, Bumrah was busy in the rehabilitation process, and slowly but steadily he is returning to his rhythm. Everyone, including Bumrah, now believe that the right-arm pacer is ready for the match.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will soon pick up the Indian team for the upcoming home limited-overs series. In January 2020, India will first host the three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka (5-10 January 2020), and then they will play the three-match home ODI series against Australia (14-19 January 2020). According to various media reports, Bumrah will return in both these series.

But before his international return, Jasprit Bumrah will play a Ranji Trophy match. In the Group A of the Ranji Trophy 2019/20, Gujarat will play against Kerala at Surat from 25th December 2019. According to the reports, fit-Bumrah is ready to serve for Gujarat in this match.
