There is always a transition period in the team when the legends have to say goodbye to the game of cricket, and new youngsters take the team forward. MS Dhoni was one of them, under his captaincy, legends like Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag retired, though, Dhoni took the team forward with youngsters. Thus, there will be a time when Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Shikhar Dhawan will move forward in their journey leaving the team on the shoulder of coming talented players.
The top-order of the Indian team is said to be a crucial part on which mostly winning a match depends. After Sachin and Sehwag left, the team found a new combination of Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan. Since then, the “Hit-Man” Sharma has taken the command of the team. But there will be a day when he will also bid adieu to the game. Before Retiring, Rohit Sharma wants to give few more World Cup trophies to the national team.

When asked whether Indian fans would get to see Rohit Sharma playing for another six to seven years, the Indian opener answered that he would surely play few more world Cups.
“I don’t make such plans. Right now, there are a few World Cups to be won,” Sharma tells PTI.
I am really happy what we could achieve as a team – Rohit Sharma
Rohit Sharma has every time cleared his intention when he plays. He doesn’t count the milestones but focuses more on winning the games for the team.
“I don’t know how to describe it but I am really happy what we could achieve as a team. If you know me, at no stage of my career has personal glory been important. The milestones (2442 runs in a year as an opener) are fine but winning every series is what we focus on.”
This year, the teams will fight for the T20 World Cup trophy which is scheduled in October-November. All the teams will move to Australia to fight for this trophy.
