MS Dhoni still hasn’t answered the question of future with the Team India neither the BCCI selectors have openly talked about the subject. While it is clear that Dhoni’s IPL performance will decide the fate for his selection in the T20 World Cup 2020.
Then and now, the former Indian captain is either spotted while attending the events or spending time with his family. But there is no answer from his side of whether he will continue playing for the National side.
The Ranchi veteran last played a competitive match in July during the coveted ICC World Cup 2019. However, wicketkeeper’s friend Suresh Raina believes that Team India needs the guidance of Dhoni.

CSK player Raina and Dhoni shared a good bond on and off-the-field. They have been spotted spending a lot of time together during the Indian Premier League (IPL). Raina, while talking to Times of India (ToI), opined that he is delighted to see, CSK captain, Dhoni is spending quality time with his family. But the southpaw added that he wants Dhoni to play regularly for the national side.
However, in the end, he said that the final call depends on the current Indian skipper, Virat Kohli.

Also, Raina said that the CSK team will regroup a week ahead of the IPL to train for the lucrative league.
“Dhoni will probably be coming to Chennai in the first week of March to train ahead of the IPL. Right now, it is so good to see him spending a lot of time with his family. If he wants to leave the game, he will go without making a big fuss. I want to see him continue to play. He is looking fit and has been training hard. I still think the Indian team needs him. But it is Virat’s call on how they go forward.”

Recently, Dhoni’s exclusion from the BCCI’s central contract increased the speculation of the end of the former’s era.
Indian fans also believed that World Cup 2019 was the last time when they saw Dhoni donning the national jersey.
But soon after reports surfaced that he will be reincluded in the contract list if he starts playing for India.
However, every cricket lover is excited to watch MS Dhoni in the upcoming 13th edition of the IPL.
