After the conclusion of the T20I series, the hosts New Zealand and the visitors India are getting ready for the ODI series. Before this ODI series, former Indian cricketer VVS Laxman has revealed his prediction about this series.

Recently, New Zealand and India involved in the five-match T20I series and India won that series by 5-0. The visitors won the first two T20Is at Eden Park (Auckland) by six and seven wickets respectively. They played the next two games at Seddon Park (Hamilton) and Westpac Stadium (Wellington), and both had the tie results which India later won both those matches in the Super Overs.

On last Sunday (2nd February), they played the last game of that T20I series at Bay Oval (Mount Maunganui), and once again India won that match by seven runs. With that result, India became the first team to complete whitewash in the five-match bilateral T20I series.

Now, India will play the three-match ODI series against the hosts New Zealand in this tour. They will play these matches at Seddon Park (Hamilton), Eden Park (Auckland) and Bay Oval (Mount Maunganui) on 5th, 8th and 11th February respectively. The Hamilton ODI will be their first meeting after the semi-final of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.

VVS Laxman believes India will win the ODI series by 3-0

While the Indian side is much regular and robust side for the forthcoming ODI series too, the Blackcaps will miss many of their regular pacers. New Zealand pacers Trent Boult, Matt Henry and Lockie Ferguson will miss the ODI series.

So, VVS Laxman feels that the visitors India will win the upcoming ODI series comfortably. In the post-match show on Star Sports, Laxman has even predicted that the Men in Blue will clinch the ODI series by the 3-0 margin.
