Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal is the premier bowler for Team India. Former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh also believes that the leg-spinner is an indispensable part of the team. Well, Harbhajan also assures that he is a No.1 choice as a spinner for the team, and could play a quintessential role in the upcoming 2020 T20 World Cup in Australia.
Chahal, since his debut, has been impressive in the field. The short-heighted bowler is the highest wicket-taker as a spinner in the T20I format for India in particular. He has scalped 55 wickets in 42 T20 international at the economy rate of 8.81.

As the T20 World Cup is lined this year, veteran cricketer Harbhajan believes that the Indian Premier League (IPL) will play a big role in the selection of the T20 World Cup squad. But he is sure that Chahal will be the part of the Indian squad as he is ahead of all the other spinners.
“IPL performance will have a great impact on the selectors. These players will have to be at their best to show they deserve to be in the national team. Whether it is Chahal, Bishnoi or Rahul, it will, in the end, come down to who handles the pressure better,” Harbhajan Singh said to TOI.
“Chahal is a proven player and the new lot is actually competing with someone who has done it at that level already They will have to do double the work than what Yuzi will have to do. Chahal has a strong case to be in the World Cup squad. I feel he is the No. 1 choice. “
Harbhajan expresses that upcoming youngsters like Ravi Bishnoi will have to sweat hard in domestic fields to earn the call for international cricket.
The leg spinner Bishnoi was the star performer for his team in the recently-ended ICC U-19 World Cup. In the nail-biting finale, Bishnoi picked four wickets under pressure to keep India well in the game following a rare batting collapse.
Meanwhile, Chahal is busy playing the ongoing ODI series against New Zealand.
