England ex-cricketer Kevin Pietersen took a dig at the US President Donald Trump after he mispronounced Sachin Tendulkar’s name. On Monday, Trump arrived in India for the first time as an elected member. He landed in Ahmedabad and was received by India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi. And as a part of his visit, he addressed the massive crowd at world’s largest cricket stadium – Motera Stadium.

While speaking in the stadium, he mentioned legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and India’s skipper Virat Kohli in his speech. But it turned out to be funny as he mispronounced Sachin to “Soo-chin”. Also, he has mispronounced Kohli’s name.

Trump’s gaffe had further witnessed a clip going viral across social media platforms. On Twitter, the users have used a short clip for creating funny memes.

“This is the country where the people cheer on some of the world’s greatest cricket players from Sachin Tendulkar to Virat Kohli,” Donald Trump said.

Meanwhile, Pietersen also took the moment to take a dig at the US president, Trump. Taking to Twitter, he tagged English broadcaster, Piers Morgan, to post his message on the micro-blogging site.

He asked Trump to do some research before taking names of such veteran cricketers.

“FFS, @piersmorgan, pls ask your mate to do some research in pronouncing legends names?!,” Kevin Pietersen tweeted.

Earlier, the International cricket council (ICC) also trolled US President for mispronouncing the name of Tendulkar. They even shared the video on Twitter as a short clip revealed that they were changing Sachin’s name to Soo-chin Tendulkar in their database.

Although, when Trump mentioned the name of Sachin in the speech, the crowd had cheered loud as the voice echoed in the mega stadium.

Talking about Motera Stadium, it has a seating capacity of 1,10,000 and is full-fledged with new technology. Earlier, there were speculations that the stadium will host the first match of IPL.

However, it is not expected because of ongoing construction work. But soon, the ground is expected to host some enticing game.
