India was successful in halting New Zealand for 235 runs but they lost six wickets at the end of the second day at 90 runs. Thus, India’s poor batting show has marred the impressive effort of Indian bowlers. But the pacer Jasprit Bumrah doesn’t want to indulge in the blame game which he believes is not the culture their team in particular

India’s spearhead pacer Bumrah, who was badly searching for a wicket, picked three wickets in Christchurch. Apart from Bumrah, Mohammed Shami picked four wickets, Ravindra Jadeja collected three wickets and Umesh Yadav picked one wicket.

All in all, India’s pacer battery was best with the ball but on the other hand, the batsmen could not save their wickets in front of Kiwi’s bowling line up. And, the day ended with India losing six wickets at 90 runs.

“See we don’t play the blame game. In our (team) culture, we don’t look at blaming anyone. Some days if as a bowling unit we don’t pick up wickets, then that doesn’t give the batsmen liberty to take our case, isn’t it?” asked Jasprit Bumrah.

The yorker king Bumrah has still hopes of India’s victory. He believes that Hanuma Vihari and Rishabh Pant are still in the middle so they might gather sufficient runs. Well, Jadeja is also left in the batting line up.

“We, as a team, want to push it hard and do well but the situation is what it is. We have two batsmen left and we would look to push tomorrow as well. We can try and work hard and score as many as we can and we will see how it goes,” said Bumrah.

The middle-order batsman Vihari has scored a gritty fifty in the first innings.

So, a big knock can be accepted from him while setting up a strong partnership with the wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant, who had also collected decent runs. Well, Pant and Vihari were batting at 1 and 5 at the end of the second day.
