The online cricket coaching programmes are getting popular in the present situation. The former first-class cricketer Satrajit Lahiri, who is the chief coach of the MS Dhoni Cricket Academy, has told TOI that each video is attracting around 10000 views across all platforms.
Lahiri further added, “We have an app called Cricketor where we regularly upload demo drills. The trainees also need to upload their videos so that we can keep a tab on their activities. We give feedback accordingly.”
In these video training, the batsmen have to throw the balls continuously against a wall and bat with soft hands. According to Lahiri, it helps to solidify the defence along with improving the hand-eye coordination.
On the other hand, bowlers are learning various drills without releasing the ball. During this learning process, the bowlers are continuously monitoring of their bowling actions and loading-up positions.
