Harbhajan Singh has reacted to the Yuvraj Singh remarks on the dearth of ‘role models’ in the current Indian team. Earlier, the sixer king in the live conversation with Rohit Sharma said that there are fewer senior players in the Indian team to guide the youngsters. He also said that the upcoming talent is less respectful to the senior players because of social media.
Yuvraj further said that Rohit and Virat are the only senior players who play all the three formats. He expressed that during his time, there were more senior players like Sourav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar, and Rahul Dravid who had helped Yuvraj during his initial growth. Former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir also agreed with Yuvraj’s statement. Now, Harbhajan has also commented on the same subject.
Harbhajan Singh’s reaction:

The veteran spinner has not totally agreed with Yuvraj. He said that he did not feel the same until he was with the team and said Yuvraj might better know that.
“See every team has a different culture. Pehle ke time kuch aur the (times were different before). Now, these are different times. What Yuvi has said, I don’t know in what context he said these things, but I played till 2016 and I never felt anything like this,” Harbhajan said.

“Now I haven’t been in the team since 2016 so I cannot comment on this current bunch. But till the time I was there, I never felt anything. Yes the team has changed a lot since 2016. So maybe Yuvi can give you a better answer to this as he knows the context,” Harbhajan said.
Harbhajan last played for India in 2016. The off-spinner was the crucial bowler in the team. He has picked up 417 wickets in 103 Tests at an average of 32.46 in his career. He has also taken 269 wickets in 236 ODIs at an average of 33.35.
