WWE Universal Champion Braun Strowman is celebrating 100 days as a champion, as of today. The reigning prime champion from the Smackdown shared the information with the WWE Universe on his feat. He took to Twitter and commented on the milestone, revealing that he was celebrating with a pair of New York Strips.

 

“Celebrating 100 days of being the @WWE #UniversalChamp the only way I see fit. Two reverse seared #NyStrips,” he wrote.

Braun Strowman won the Universal title from WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg at WrestleMania 36 Night One back on April 4. He was nowhere to be found on the picture until Roman Reigns backed out of competing at the show of shows amid coronavirus pandemic. Initially, it was Reigns who would have competed against Goldberg in the title match. But his name was withdrawn and Strowman filled in the void, at the very last point.

Initially, it was considered that Braun Strowman was just a makeshift champion in the absence of a top name like Roman Reigns. But he’s now entered the club of those champions who have spent 100 days or more with their belts on the shoulder.

 

 

At present, Braun Strowman is set to face Bray Wyatt in a non-title Wyatt Swamp Fight at WWE’s “The Horror Show at Extreme Rules” pay-per-view this coming Sunday. He’s likely to digest a loss at the hands of his former mentor. Then he could go on to defend the title at SummerSlam in late August, against Wyatt’s different version, The Fiend.

On a related note, one year ago, Bobby Lashley and Braun Strowman fought on RAW. In a match that ended with explosions. It created quite the moment on the show letting Corey Graves yelling, ‘Holy S**t’ on the spot. It seems that Lashley wouldn’t mind a rematch and this time for the Universal Title.

WWE decided to plug this match as a memory worth on a Monday. Braun Strowman replied to the tweet by saying the match was “One of the most physical matches I’ve ever had!!!!” He also mentioned that Bobby Lashley is a “tuff dude.”

 

 

 

The Dominator responded saying that he would love to have another match with the Monster Among Men with the latter’s title hanging in the balance,

 

“When two dudes as big as @BraunStrowman and I go all over the arena, you know something crazy is gonna happen!! Let’s run it back some day big man…maybe put that #UniversalTitle on the line.”
